How to Run Delusional Game

You guys know that I give props to anyone that’s out there doing it. I can usually find value in most guys kicking some pickup shit. (except Jordan Harbinger from Art of Charm – that dude is clueless)

I generally like Todd, but he’s a bit boring.

This particular set – the fucker is delusional.

So he is in NYC. (probably Manhattan, but that could be Brooklyn)

Talks to some random white chick (not the goodlooking Latina in the thumbnail).

She’s wearing high waisted pants – so either she’s hot a fuck and can ruin her figure by looking bad – or she’s just another basic bitch.  Her hair and outfit are not flattering, and the accent is not doing her any favors.  But maybe I just don’t have good taste in white wimmenz.

His opener is, “What are you doing in MY city?

This shit immediately goes south, because the chick is FROM NEW YORK.

If you’re from NYC – you’re not from New York – you’re from your specific neighborhood/or borough.  I’d say to chicks, FRANKLIN AVENUE POSSE BITCH!

Lemme explain this opener.

The idea behind these sort of “ownership” type opener is that you’re coming in at “higher value”.

“Oh, this guy is challenging me, he must be of “high value” – because most guys kiss my ass – therefore…”

^^That’s what these fuckers will tell you. Treat a chick lower than you – and you must be higher. This is actually worse than a neg – because you will make ROOKIE mistakes, like he did.

And this is one of the big problems with Mystery Method/RSD derived game – this idea of value. Like a guy of a certain “value” can just show that value and a bitch is intrigued.

Fuck no.

And that’s one of the advantages of being Black/Latino/Minority/Real Game Aware White Guy. We realize that our bosses, politicians, cops, anyone with actual power over our lives – their value is illusory.

“With a fake-ass badge and a gun in your hand. But take off the gun so you can see what’s up. And we’ll go at it, punk, and I’ma fuck you up!”

https://youtu.be/9jOqOlETcRU

(That’s from Fuck the Police by NWA for you lurking white dudes.)

Indeed, if you’re lucky enough to have been brought up in a black neighborhood – you’ve seen the finest bitches get caught up in the most trifling shit. That phat ass gives her ZERO super powers. She can and will get fucked and FUCKED like anyone else. She can’t really tell a boss from a worker (or a square) just by talking to a dude. She thinks she can, but she can’t.

Back to value.

Your only “value” to a chick when you talk to her – is how you’re making her feel.

So Todd makes a transplant mistake in assuming the broad is a transplant too.  He is claiming true like he is from NYC.  This bitch would know him, because like I said above, regular degula white people aren’t a big part of the city proper.  Jews sure.  Eastern Europeans, hell yeah.  Italians, fuhgeddaboutit.   But mainstream white people?  Naw, B.

He just doesn’t have the social awareness to realize how much he fucked up.  He’s not in her tribe.

….

It’s his explanation of why his opener bombed so hard.

He keeps teaching his students that this isn’t a fuck up – and he says the girl is adapting to his frame.

She keeps talking to him, so in that respect he’s right it wasn’t that bad…, but she keeps shitting on Colorado – and he’s the one qualifying himself to HER.

But that’s literally not what he says/does in the video.  He says she’s qualifying to him.

He thinks that she’s adapting to him. In White Boy PUA – he’s actually demonstrated lower value by being from a less cool place. This is something that Brad P (best NYC player that put out a product) used to talk about when he toured with his band. Wherever they went, he was from NYC, and NYC is just fucking cooler than any place else. (it’s not, but anyone from NYC has this superiority complex, that you end up agreeing with them, just to shut them the fuck up)

To his credit – the shit blows over – but he’s DELUSIONAL.

So after he basically brushes off her shitting on Colorado, he tries to reframe the thing by saying if she comes out with him, she’ll have to go skiing.

He thinks that he’s making fun of her for not skiing.
When in fact, she’s saying the only thing even somewhat interesting about his cowtown was watching someone else ski.

..So they get on this winter sports thing, and she says he needs to have gold medals. Blah, blah, blah then “American Flag”

Todd isn’t aware that she’s still clowning him. She looks him up and down and is laughing at him. (Typical NYC bitch, probably from Upper West Side – because white people that grew up in NYC, if they’re not ethnic white – they’re from the rich part of Manhattan – generally speaking)

He’s misinterpreting her – but not on purpose.

The funny thing is – the bitch breaks @ 10:00 minutes in.

She breaks when he compliments her.

She admits to being mean, and HE LETS HER OFF THE HOOK by reframing it.

But then she asks him a “girlfriend” question about how she looks.

He actually has a good energy to keep going with this. He reframes this in his mind – and keeps going forward with the pull.

He then tools her  a bit, and cut to commercial.

_____________

It’s actually an interesting infield – because despite his misunderstanding the social context – it looks as though he CONVERTED the chick.  (or so the footage seems to show)

But why and how he converted her is completely a mystery to him.

  1. Archie, ive seen you say the “what are you doing in MY bar” line, do you consider that a rookie move now?

  2. Thanks for the clarification.

In NYC I always mention im visiting from out of town. You pointed out that was a rookie mistake. What’s the context on that? Only NYC? All tier 1 (US) cities? All 100k+ pop. cities? All cities unless they bring it up?

    1. NYC is it’s own animal, but white girls who grew up in the city are almost always investment/blue blood/only go to certain well regarded high schools and private schools. I generally like Todd, and he comes off as the “smartest” guy in RSD that’s not Tyler – but despite the name – none of them seem to understand social dynamics. Maybe just Luke, but the fan boys and mouth breathing red pill critics aren’t night life veterans.

  3. What’s the context on that?

The context is Todd was using it as an attempt at DHVing, but he did not have any value… He lied. He faked it. She called him on it. when you lie they say you tell yourself one thing – you’re weak.

So DHVing was not the issue, the issue was faking it.

Why is Todd putting infields out with drunk 6’s though???

Anyhow. Archie nails the tribe thing. IF Todd WAS from NYC, he would know her social circle. Cause the white people who grow up there by and large are rich and went to the same private schools, hit the same parties, went to the same summer camps, Hamptons places etc. So he was definitely NOT in her tribe…

If he said he group up on the UES and went to Dalton or boarding school etc. he would be fine… And the convo would flow and he could move to spiking her emotions… Instead of her shit testing the fuck out of him.

Don’t try and DHV without the V.

The premise though of the infield is odd… “Boring conversation”. Who cares if you are escalating to a bang. A bunch of sets lately have been just that, completely boring conversation, just adding in some lasering and some basic kino – holding her hand, playing with her wrist – while listening to her and keeping the boring convo going…

A problem a lot of PUA guys have is they really don’t have any value to convey… they don’t have much in experiences outside of PUA, go back to shitty apartments, are AFCs outside of knowing some game.

  4. Another thing… You don’t “challenge’ a 6 by challenging her. You just let her qualify. I think that’s what she was trying to do there at the end, asking about how she looked. She wanted to know she was good looking enough, i.e. she was in doubt. He muffed it a bit.

  5. Archie

what do you make of this one?

Seems a case screaming for some old school bouncing and comfort instead of rat at tat tatting on and poaching. and wow those cankles…

Good topic though on distinction between objections and conditions. Let those who have ears hear…

    1. YouTube Infields are so annoying. All of the videos are 15 minutes of the “guru” droning on often times saying things not even relevant to the infield video. Then you get just 1 minute of actual infield.

Where can I find legit infield videos that show a good portion of the approach? I want to see quality infields but they are difficult to find.

      1. You can’t. But a good infield might be 10-15 minutes of interaction, but the breaking down of everything should take longer.

    2. I did see this one. I can’t comment on the girl, white guys have a different scale in terms of looks and personality. To me Lindsey Pelas or Charlotte McKinney is a top shelf white girl, whereas I think guys like Todd tend to like the Taylor Swift types be she demure or sassy. To me Skinny White Girl sipping on pumpkin spice lattes and working at some Fortune 500 company with a Sex and the City Personality is dime a dozen.

That being said, to get the bang he stays on the chick and basically dances to her tune. She might want to fuck him, but to use their terms, his value proposition isn’t high enough for her to actually TAKE HIS LEAD.

And it doesn’t seem that he attempts to get ANY compliance. NYC is a town where men call the shots precisely because what “girl on street” or “girl at bar” offers is so common place. He could have literally said, Fuck This Chick, and walked right back into the venue and gotten her clone.

And that’s the biggest problem with guys with the “sex at any cost” mentality (or in this case, footage at any cost).

Back in the day, you could stay on a chick, get to her place, reset the pull going through attraction/comfort again and then make that connection. The chick would more than likely want more of you.

Nowadays when she can just swipe a dick, he ubers over, they seamless some Thai food – and then get busy – his overall value has gone down, and whatever they do is hopefully more interesting than watching Gilmore Girls on Netflix, again.

So on the Macro, men’s value has gone down.

On the Micro, his willingness to jump through all of her hoops, means his in the moment value to her has also gone down.

The funny thing is, Todd talks A LOT about giving your “power” away.

But He doesn’t seem to understand power.

      The President has power.
      My boss has power.
My mother! Has power. (Hi Mom! I’ll be out of the basement soon)
      A cop has power.
The guy at the Genius Bar who can move you up the queue – has power.

A guy leaving Manhattan because he thinks he can wear the girl down for a six and a half minutes of pumping – is not the one with power.

  6. great post – more infield breakdowns please! your blog is the only place to come close to filling the great void left behind by yareally’s departure

    1. Preciate it. Don’t know if I can fill YaReally’s gators, but that’s high praise.

The homies Sentient and Having a Bad Day at the Rational Male are among some of the top game minds still posting for free. They are on the 100+ pages field report. The problem there is that not enough newbies go there looking for advice. My Reddit experiment, now done, shows me how much game i’ve forgotten because I don’t need it anymore.

  7. n00b analysis here, but if it only takes one comment of approval for him to ‘break’ her as you say, then maybe there was that element of her chasing his approval in the frame after all?

    1. I’m not sure if I follow.

I think he had some pre-approach/initial attraction from the very beginning, but his dickish/frame grab opener made him lose all the points with the chick. That’s fine – a lot of guys run game from the perspective of wanting to get the girl to like him – but good game makes her wonder if you like her.

His fuck up messes up that fundamental dynamic, and whatever goodwill he had coming in as shortish somewhat attractive white guy is lost. He now has to start the marathon that could have been a sprint from behind the pack, not at the starting line.

If you like Rollo’s/Manosphere idea of SMV (I’m ambivalent on that) – they come in as equals. But the social market value always puts the pursued ahead of the pursuer.

Todd eventually turns it around – but the point of my post is that he never really grasped the social dynamics of the thing.

But his belief in self, the belief in his game, is what pushes him to go forward.

      That’s the ultimate lesson here.
