It’s fairly obvious to those of us who practice the forbidden Crimson Arts that a lot of PUA knowledge is ending up in the mainstream as generic “charisma” advice.

This is telling because more often than not the advice is “universal” but it mostly applies to men. (incidentially, Charisma University features far more charismatic men than women)

Last 24 videos all feature men, and the one featuring Ellen is about not being charismatic.

Women have trillions of dollars of R&D and products to make themselves instantly attractive – but all of that is focused on the visuals – specifically making themselves more attractive.

Very little of the millennia old female equivalent of PUA (some combination of Cosmo and The Rules and I guess Twitter Feminism nowadays) talks about changing female behavior.

So keep this in mind as you consume more Game material.

^The piece is focused on why people do dumb stuff, mass hysteria, mob buying, etc.  Interesting read generally speaking.

Munger and W. Beezy are known to not only be shrewd investors and readers of 10-K’s, looking for competitive advantages – but they are Students of the Game.  Or rather, they use mental models to analyze the world, and take advantages of discrepancies.

Looking at my own finances, I do okay for myself, but this ain’t a stock tips kinda blog.  Let’s focus on the good stuff.

It’s the new year, and there are a lot of things you can do to increase your screen/conversion ratio.

Face Time

Obviously the biggest factor in connection is time meeting and communicating with girls.  Nothing will increase your skills, conversion, body count, whatever than talking to girls in real life.  For you guys just starting to get your feet wet, 3 months of 4-6 nights out a week will do a lot more for your game than watching Youtube videos and reading books.

• More situations and scenarios and problems to encounter
• More practice with the content
• More practice with the delivery
• More experience in dealing with stress.
• More chances to increase your frame control

Mind Set/Game Plan/Inner Game

I sort of see these things as related, a smarter person could tease them out a little better.  But getting in front of chicks and saying/doing the necessary things is a dance.

You need a little courage to step up.  You need a little more courage to say your first words.  You need a little more to keep going when she doesn’t give you that instant positive feedback.  And you might need a well of strength to keep going out, night after night, and getting indifference.

Part of getting past the lack of feedback is the mindset.

The mindset will come from reading good material, good music, good videos.  What am I supposed to think? How is this supposed to go.  A man just getting into this has to reset his mind as to what is supposed to happen, and what is possible.  And this resetting never stops.  The more I learn, the more I unlearn.  I question assumptions that have gotten me to previous success.

Game Plan – a lot of your initial confidence will be from knowing what’s supposed to happen.  The textbook hook up is rare.

For me, at this point in my game career, I can see subtle signs of interest before I speak, and additional signs when I do speak.  So my aim is to convert, a lot of my actual connections are about seeing that initial spark and blowing it into a flame.  More screening than conversion.

And that’s where we get into inner game.

Inner game is more than “I’m the shit” or “I’m enough”.  Most of us have dialogues in our mind.  It’s the negative voice that usually keeps us from harm, but also stops us from trying things that we want to try, things that might get us to the next level.

Inner game also goes to “in the moment” reactivity.  That’s why guys into pick up get into Zen or other forms of meditation.  If the chick hits you with a test or some other emotional jab, meditation allows you the inner self to not react, but the outer self to ACT.  Ideally, it appears like a reaction to others, but you know that it’s more than trained response to stimuli.

I remember CMQ poised this question about diminishing returns on working out.  I know I had strong feelings on the subject then, but in the context of that creatine fog, I don’t know if the message was clear.

But getting to about 12-15% body fat, at the cusp of where the 6 pack shows is good enough.  Guys with 6 packs are skinny, and a chick can’t see the washboard in the club or during day game.  Vegas Pool Party?  Venice Beach?  Different story.

I didn’t really learn game until i was 25.  Finished with college, had my own place, had a car, had a job.  I’d already had 2 girlfriends at that point.  I actually had not been on a ton of dates.   It was the 2nd girlfriend that pushed me into improving my social skills.

If I could go back to those days, I’d get my diet and exercise together, make it a part of my life.  I’d go to a higher ranked college and double major in computer science and finance.  I’d also join the drama club/theater arts and learn how to act, comedy, and improvisation.

In terms of game?  Day game as a college student talking to another college student isn’t particularly difficult.  Girls are open to talking to guys their own age. And there’s a new girl ever 30 seconds.   Night game is not an option.  Online game didn’t exist.  Texting didn’t exist.

Passport game?  Maybe if you did a semester or 2 abroad.  And that would have been my other big change to my college life – becoming fluent in a different language.  I probably would have picked Japanese at that age.  But Spanish would have been much more useful, even if Japanese proved to be more lucrative.

That was the 90’s.  When bad cold approach wasn’t really subject to arrest. When people were much better at offline interaction.

If I was 18 now?

1. Get Body Right – Diet, Exercise, Stretch, Rest Game on lock.
2. Get Your Mind Right – Meditation and Emotional Wellness.
3. Who are you hanging out with? – Building a crew of guys to really talk to about things is good for mental health
4. Life Skills – Learn 2 languages, because that opens up the mind, job possibilities, and adventures with the ladies. I managed to learn how to cook, clean, fix a car, and fix a computer.  If a man doesn’t know how to do that these days…
5. Computer/Net skills – Building a PC is very similar to building a stereo system.  Just plug things in.  Finding information online, operational security, social media, etc – that’s where all of society is headed.  Hard skills might be good for a job, but the soft skills and understanding psychology, herd mentality, mob mentality will be increasingly important.
6. Money Skills – Personal finance is a must. Saving, Risky investments in tech while young, etc.  But the real money skill is learning how Bezos starts an online bookstore and is on the way to becoming a trillionaire.  Buffet picked stocks.  But Bezos is a much better allocator of capital.  Bringing that down to the “make money online” level and other “get rich quick” schemes, it’s understanding how Bezos put the money he made into something that made a bit more money, but how the imagination of the investing public extrapolated his moves to make him worth billions.
7. Social Skills and Game – The body, the mind, specific skills, all build a man’s long term attractive qualities.  We’ve always been “good catches”.  That’s not what motivates people to act in the NOW.  You want the college cheerleader while you’re in college, not 15 years later when she connects with you at an alumni bar having done well for yourself.
